Back from the Mentawai Islands
Daniel Netzer – “I went to the Mentawai islands with 7 of my friends from the Newport Harbor High School Surf Team as a graduation trip and present from my parents. We all just graduated High School and got to go to Indonesia. We stayed on the boat the MV Midas and were in the Mentawai Islands for 2 weeks surfing the various waves the islands had to offer. We had solid surf the whole time getting great waves due to the south swell that was prevalent the entire time we were there. ”

Pumping Nicaragua and Tavik Storytime
So let me tell you about Tavik. I first discovered the brand about four or five years ago at a surf shop called Wave Riding Vehicles (WRV) in Virginia Beach. They put out an amazing boardshort that particular season that to this day I remember – cool pattern and they were cut a little slimmer and just ABOVE the knee, which at that point in time was a completely new fit for a boardie and definitely an out-there look for the slightly conservative east coast. read more at transworld.net
